School Daze pt 2. (We don’t need no education)

Well, tomorrow morning I work for the last time until school starts. My first day leaves me with only 1 class, Calc 3. I know my calc prof is going to be happy this year because he doesn’t get to teach calc 3 that often, and he loves being able to teach it. He has been there many years and taught the class about 4 times.

In other news, yesterday a member of a forum I am part of was reported to have comitted suicide. His note was to the members of this forum, who he considered to be his only true friends. This came as a major blow to our community and was first met with a wave of disbelief, but now it is sinking in that he is truly gone. While I can not judge what he did, what I can say is that his presence will be sorely missed.

School Daze

Well, I just got back from my college, after purchasing my books for the coming semster. I will be taking Calculus 3, Physics, and Intro. to Human Biology. The Physics book cost a whole $117.95. :O The lab book that goes with the physics course cost $63.00 and my ItHB book cost $75. Good thing I had my calc book from last year and they are still using the same book for calc 3, or that would have been another $160.

Yes, I know…

I know my posts tend to be a bit on the short side, but if you haven’t figured it out I don’t like to write too much when a few words will do. My longer musings are usually very personal in nature or require alot of detail to explain. Well, emotionally I am… well, to put it out there, a mess. I do have an anger problem, of which I have already spent many years on, and don’t like to be too emotional most other times. I also am not the type who wants to bore people with drawn out technical details… (oh, okay chatters, I know, thats a shock)…

But to me blogging is more of an expierence in bringing what I feel is important out for others to see, some things perk my interests more than others, and some days are just not worth writing about. I would say I would try to write more, but it all depends on the interesting things that happen. My posts size will increase when school starts, (sept. 3), because I will most likely be discussing what happened at college. Though one of my favorite things about the school (besides the profs, which really are a fairly good bunch of people to be around) is that in the student union room they have 2 LARGE free pool tables, which means lots of practice (and ways to meet with other students at thier houses at night to play for some bucks.)

You know, for a post about my short posts this one is actually rather large… how ironic!

Gimp

I finally downloaded the graphics program called “gimp.”

I started the program up, looked at it a bit, and tried using it, and after a few minutes, my first thought was… WHO NEEDS PHOTOSHOP!!!

Gimp rules, one of the better programs I have downloaded.

The new graphic at the top of the page is an example of what I was already able to do using gimp.
