Lets see…
This weekend, the starter on my car died. And at the time, my car was the only working vehicle.
Oof.
But before we get into the car repair… lets talk about Tuesday.
Tuesday, since we were in need of a car, my dad’s friend, who is living on the property, helped them purchase a used car. A ‘93 Ford wagon. Decent vehicle.
It was a big help.
Later on, this guy, we can call him ‘bob’ had been working on clearing a fallen tree. This tree has been down for a while, and he has been out here about 1.5 – 2 months and has been slowly working on it. Well, he decided that if he continued as he was, the one side would swing out and hit him. His idea was to use charcoal and bacon grease on the V he had created, to try and burn down through the rest of the wood.
After a while, he believed he had it out. He returned to his house to have some coffee, and when he looked outside, he saw the area of the tree covered in an orange glow. After shouting for help, the rest of us went and tried to aid him, but knew it was out of our hands.
My dad’s girlfiend had called the Fire Dept. and they arrived to start putting it out. The tree had landed on an old chicken coop, and the fire had most of the tree and coop. It encompassed abut a 20′x10′ area
The fire dept had the fire out and taken care of in abotu 30-45 minutes. Considering this all happened at 2100 (9 PM) they were all very nice about it. ‘Bob’ escaped without any fines or charges.
Back to the car. On Wednesday my uncle brought a friend and they worked on my car, replacing my starter. While they were doing this, I was at school, as Wednesday is my longest day of the week.
I was pretty pleased when my car was the one used to pick me up from school.
Oh, and on a last note, my website currently is a copy this page. I will leave it this way until I finish the re-design of my domain.
Until later…
