I will be AFC for a couple weeks, and I may or may not be able to post while I am away, so please do not give up hope on my blog.
I will be away in Milwaukee visiting my mother over the christmas/new years holiday.
All my stuff came a couple days ago… and I’ve been busy using and playing with it all.
I don’t know how I ever survived without a subwoofer.
I’m happy with everything, even getting plenty of use out of the mp3 player.
I’m very happy ^_^

Noone will ever buy me anything, so the concept of having a wishlist can’t hurt me.
I’m working on a stat page for use on my new personal page host… and I want to know if anyone sees a problem with this code… or if they think they could improve it…
<?php
require($_SERVER["DOCUMENT_ROOT"] . "/config/db_config.php");
$connection = mysql_connect($db_host, $db_user, $db_password) or die("Error connecting. Please contact Administrator.");
mysql_select_db($db_name, $connection);
$this_page = $_SERVER["PHP_SELF"]; $IP = $_SERVER["REMOTE_ADDR"];
$ref = $_SERVER["HTTP_REFERER"]; $user_agent = $_SERVER["HTTP_USER_AGENT"];
$notfound = $_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"];
if ( $notfound != NULL ) { $this_page = $notfound . " [404]";
}
$date_auto = time();
$query = "INSERT INTO stats (page, ip, ref, user_agent, date_auto) VALUES ('$this_page', '$IP', '$ref', '$user_agent', '$date_auto')";
mysql_query($query, $connection);

Excerpt:
electricity was out for about 30 minutes, leaving at least parts of Marinette without power between 10:33 and 11 p.m.
An almost-full moon provided some measure of outside light, but indoors, many houses were completely dark as residents fumbled for flashlights and candles.
Still some houses experienced more of a brownout effect, said Marinette Police Chief Jeff Skorik.
“At my house the power went out but then the lights began to glow dimly,” said Skorik.
He reported no major problems or mishaps because of the outage.
“Our concern when those things occur are intersections because of lack of traffic signals, and of course we try to increase our building security,” said Skorik. “At this point it appears there were no severe problems (because of the outage).”
Across the area, computers were rebooted this morning and digital clocks were reset.
At Bay Area Medical Center, there were no problems that affected patient care, said John Hofer, a hospital spokesman.
But the power outage was widespread, affecting thousands of people in other parts of northeastern Wisconsin and Upper Michigan for several hours overnight.
It began when electric transmission lines that connect northeastern Wisconsin with the Upper Peninsula tripped out of service, Maripat Blankenheim of the American Transmission Co. said.
ATC officials said the system is designed to sustain the outage of one of the three lines, but when two lines tripped out of service, the third was unable to sustain the connection.
The affected area was from just north of Green Bay to just west of Manistique, Mich., ATC said.
Marilyn Westerman, a spokeswoman for WPS Resources, said only a few thousand customers in Wisconsin — primarily in the Marinette, Wausaukee and Wabeno areas — lost power and only for about an hour.
At least 52,000 Upper Peninsula customers were without power, said Janet Wolfe, a spokeswoman for the Upper Peninsula Power Co. But more were affected as that number includes wholesale customers like the city of Negaunee who count as one customer.
All of UPPCo’s customers were restored by 5 a.m., Wolfe said.
“Our crews were very prepared for something like this,” said Wolfe. “The outage this summer did give us a chance to review our procedures.”
We Energies spokeswoman Megan McCarthy said the outage affected about 10,000 Wisconsin customers of that Milwaukee-based utility and 26,000 in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, but all were back in service by about 3 a.m.
Wolfe said it was fortunate the outage occurred in December and “we didn’t have the minus-40 weather and 50-mile-an-hour winds” common later in the winter months.
ATC officials said they are investigating the cause of the outage.
Their crews began working to restore transmission service immediately and said “while many customers will wake up to their electricity being on, full restoration will be delayed while ATC ensures that the lines can be restored safely.”
…someone else.
Lets see…
Today, I opened up trillain to find a ton of IM spam…
Today, I drove to work, noticing the effects of a thermal inversion. Very cool.
Today, I did some dishes. Not cool.
Today, I had some popcorn. Always cool.
Today, I posted this today, but the other today’s are actually about yesterday.
Time travel, always improbable.
