Do not eat the IPod

These days, the use of mobile devices is becoming more universal. How many people do you know that don’t have a cell phone? Or an MP3 player, a PDA, a Pager, or hundreds of other devices that make up our day to day lives. For all this, only one question seems to remain unaswered.

   Why?

There must be something to the cloud of electronic gadgets that now swarm our daily lives.

A cell phone allows us to be in contact with anyone, anytime. I can see the advantage right there. Except of course, when you are driving, where such distractions leave you more likely to become acquainted with the vehicle in front of you.

But what about these other things, such as MP3 players, or PDAs, and the like. These are truly a new brand of technology. What did we do before the PDA? That’s right, we remembered when meetings were ourselves. What did we do before the MP3 player came along? Radio stations still broadcast on all those same frequencies.

Maybe it’s just the proof of progress. As technology progresses, we want to rely less and less on what is around is and more on what we have ourselves. We seem to no longer trust that our favorite radio stations will still play our favorite music. Or that someone will take a message if we are not there to take the call.

Is it just me, or is technology making us into a soceity of lonely people?

A Change

A Change is coming.

Fear it.

GameSpy: Top Ten Video Game Movies

Super Mario Brothers is kind of like Hell, except I’m pretty sure Hell has a better production designer. This is one ugly film, and I’m talking the kind of ugly that makes you want to tear out your eyes, throw them onto the floor, stomp on them, burn the remains, spread the ashes into the ocean, and then choke yourself to death with a bungee cord while frantically stabbing your groin with the sharp, jagged remains of a rusted aluminum soda can.

Hah

I win.

I’ll post tomorrow

I promise…

Or something.
